Previously

Jackie is taken at a gunpoint out of restaurant in Chinatown by a group of mobsters belonging to Yuen criminal organization. He proposes to Yuen forget their differences and stay out of their each business. The leader of the group, Cheng rejects the offer and is taken hostage by Jackie.
