Vol. 1 Issue 24 is the twenty-fourth issue of the first The Darkness comic series volume published from 1996.
Synopsis[]
Jackie rushes to Las Vegas to stop his evil double from harming Frankie, but encounters unexpected roadblock, left by an old enemy.

Plot Summary[]
The story opens up with Kimberly Fang getting a room for herself, Jackie and Wenders in a road side motel. Jackie is still trying to recover from his wounds, while Fang goes to a shower. Wenders expresses distrust towards Fang and Jackie orders him to get some food. In the meantime, Darklings establish a perimeter around the room.
Elsewhere, Cullowski is pleased with Denton. Denton reminds him that he needs to keep his end of the bargain and kill Jackie.
Back at the motel, Wenders goes to get some food for Jackie, but gets into conflict with the locals.
Meanwhile, Fang reminds Jackie what he did to her.
Back at the motels dinner, everyone inside, except for Wenders, burst into flames.
Meanwhile, Jackie apologizes to Fang for what he did and they reconcile. Suddenly, Wenders comes to them and urges to run away as giant monster is coming this way. Jackie then allows the monster to swallow his Darklings, which kills it from the inside. From the monsters remains Jackie figures that it was created by The Angelus. To be continued...
