The Brotherhood of Darkness was an ancient fraternity of occultists dedicated - in theory - to the service of he who wields the Darkness. In actuality, the Brotherhood's true ambitions were to rule over humanity by enslaving the Darkness host and forcing him to reshape the world.
History[]
Early Years[]
Sometime around 1700s, infamous pirate and Darkness host, Miguel Estacado came up with an idea to create a world, where he and the brotherhood of followers he founded would be treated like gods. For this purpose, Miguel started to amass fortune by plundering ships. But Miguel dies before his dream can be fulfilled. With Miguel dead, Sonatine, his most loyal follower, takes over the Brotherhood and continues their mission in his name.
Trivia[]
- The concept of the Brotherhood of Darkness was re-purposed in The Darkness II into the Brotherhood. Although Sonatine is replaced by Victor Valente, the Brotherhood serves the same overall purpose and ideology as the Brotherhood of Darkness and goes about it with the same method.
