Revelations is the eighteenth chapter of The Darkness II.

Summary[]

Jackie wakes up back in the Asylum, surrounded by Tony and Sheldon, the asylum version of Swifty. The two patients note, that Jackie doesn't look that good and wonder if its because he ate something bad. When Jackie rises from the bed, Tony and Sheldon leave the room. Realizing he's not in Hell, Jackie goes into rage. Vinnie notices this and quickly calls Dr. James. Seeing Jackie in bad condition, Dr. James injects him with sedatives as Eddie holds him. He then brings him to Dr. Vick.

Jackie can't believe seeing Victor again as he just killed him moments ago. Dr. James tells Dr. Vick, that Jackie is experiencing a severe withdrawal from his medication. Just like other doctors before, Dr. Vick tries to convince Jackie, that the Darkness and his life as a mafia Don is just delusions. They then take him to see Jenny, believing she could calm him down. On their way to nurse Jenny's office, the Darkling intercepts them and yells at Jackie to follow him.

The two run up to the roof. Realizing, that if the Darkling opens the door, he will get killed by the sunlight, Jackie tries to warn him to not open the doors. When the Darkling opens the door, the light comes blinding in and knocks the Darkling down the stairs where he seems to leak/steam dark energy as he slowly perishes. This shows valour and a sense of friendship as well as he comments on how he 'had a good run' and tells Jackie not to 'fuck it up, eh' meaning that he accepts his fate and that he wishes Jackie well in his own way.

Jackie then gets up on the roof and prepares to jump off. Jenny, Dr. Vick and Eddie catch up to him and try to talk Jackie out from this. They try to convince Jackie, that he's delusional, but he's certain, that if he dies here, he will finally go to Hell. Jenny expresses that she doesn't want to lose Jackie and asks him to stay with her.

If Jackie decides to stay in the Asylum with the fake Jenny, the two go down to have a dance. After dancing, they embrace each other.

Alternatively, if Jackie rejects the Asylum and jumps off the roof, he sees true form of nurse Jenny and other inhabitants of the asylum as demonic creatures. Meanwhile, the Darkness yells "No!".
