Cedro Valdez is a side character, appearing in The Darkness II Vendettas campaign.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Cedro was a a big time mobster who employed the likes of Swifty and Luigi Palladino for his jobs. Months before the ambush at Mama Lucchesi's, Cedro was approached by the Brotherhood who payed him larger amounts of cash to kill Jackie Estacado. To accomplish this task, he hired Swifty and Luigi Palladino. The Brotherhood also he used Cedro's resources for their own purposes and infused him with dark essence.
Vendettas[]
After the Vendettas retrieve the second Darkness artefact from Luigi Palladino, Vinnie sends the mercenaries after Cedro in order to find out what he knows about the Brotherhood and their plans for the Darkness. The Vendettas manage to corner Cedro outside Broadside Paper Factory. Realizing that the Vendettas have come to kill him, Cedro at first tries to beg for his life, explaining that the Brotherhood paid in cash and they hate Jackie for some reason, and he doesn't know anything about them besides that.
Cedro then experiences a full breakdown and asks the Vendettas to put him out of his misery, as he can't live no longer after witnessing both the supernatural side of the world and Brotherhood activities. As the Vendettas prepare to fulfil his wish, Cedro jumps out of News Watch 6 van, enveloped in Darkness armor and attacks the group. In the end the mercenaries manage to take him down. But just as he dies, Cedro is possessed by dark essence inside of him. He then proceeds to teleport on top of a container and tells the Vendettas, that the Brotherhood will take the Darkness by killing the host with the Spear of Destiny and then use its power to take over the world. Cedro then proceeds to die.
Personality[]
Cedro was once a notorious mobster, but that changed after he comes in contact with the Brotherhood. Seeing all the supernatural stuff related to the Darkness, deeply traumatized Cedro to the point where he asks the Vendettas to kill him and put him out of his misery. He also seems to be suffering from some short of possession, which creeps out even Brotherhood members.

- Darkness: The Brotherhood exposed Cedro with the dark essence giving him some minor supernatural powers;
- Darkness Substance Armor: Like most members of the Brotherhood, Cedro was encased in armor made out of Darkness substance. The armor increased his durability and protected from gunfire.

- Marksmanship: Cedro could wield an assault rifle and used one in the fight with Vendettas.
Trivia[]
- Killing Cedro will reward the player with the achievement called "Coward".
